Sifu Vera Externest
Qigong is for cultivating good health. The study of Qigong is a lifelong endeavour: the fruit is better health, mental and physical. We hope you find the information here useful, but there is no substitute for doing qigong yourself.
Sifus Vera Externest and Jane Pollard have been teaching Wild Goose Qigong in Queensland since 2002. They have run weekly classes in Brisbane and Toowoomba for the last ten years. During that time their Master Michael Tse has visited Australia and their co-instructors in New Zealand over ten times, mentoring and inspiring them and their students.
Qigong is for health, kungfu is for fighting. The kungfu they teach is done with a Qigong attitude, for health, fitness and strength, rather than for fighting, though it retains its martial arts character and applications.

Sifu Jane Pollard
Health is not something you can buy; it comes from a mixture of good genes and managing your way of life, including work, stress, what you eat, how you exercise and other factors.
Qigong obviously exercises you, but does so without excessive strain on the body: it is not a high-impact activity, so does not damage your joints. It also encompasses meditation, so it helps in managing stress and your mental outlook.
Qigong has a long history; over many generations it has been refined to be effective and safe and to offer maximum health benefits. The knowledge and experience of many masters is embodied in its practice. They did not develop Qigong just for themselves, but have shared their wisdom and their hard-won discoveries with others; they improved not only their own skill and their health, but their hearts. Their generosity is something which enriches us all.
With heartfelt thanks to all our lineage teachers and particularly to our own Master Michael Tse.
