Please note that there are no classes on the 3rd, 5th, 10 or 12th April. Have a lovely break and see you all soon.
The weekend seminar on Enlightenment Gong: "The more time I have learning and practising Enlightenment Gong, the more I value and enjoy this form. Sigong's second day lecture talking about the direction of qi flow was a real highlight. Thanks again, Sigong, for sharing this skill. Belinda Hadfield, Kapiti Coast, NZ."
A day or so before Master Tse flew in the heatwave subsided, so we had very acceptable temperatures (comparatively!), of 28-32 degrees, instead of the 36 to 38 we had been getting. Sifu came armed with New Year biscuits from Hong Kong…delicious!
We started out with three evening seminars on 5 Element Self-Healing Gong and it was greatly appreciated by everyone: not too difficult, not much moving and not very long, so we can integrate it quite easily into daily practice. I’m sure most of us are aiming to do just that. Master Tse's explanations of Yin and Yang, the five elements and the calendar were very helpful too.
Our weekend seminar was Enlightenment Gong, and we did lots of polishing, which really helps us to keep up our practice throughout the year and to improve, while still adding a new bit at the end. His lecture on the direction of the flow of qi depending on different movements was also enlightening.
Our last night was a continuation of explanations of the healing hand gestures of our system and it was very practical and hands on, which was fun and which gave us an opportunity to use the different gestures on each other. Next year we will conclude what has been a very useful series of seminars.
Then we were off to New Zealand where Cynthia, Susanne and Belinda ran a beautiful program. Many thanks to them and of course to Sifu for giving us all a turbo-charged learning opportunity every year!
We wish everyone a very happy holiday season and good health for 2018.

Master Tse's 2018 Australian seminar program kicks off with Five Elements Self-Healing Gong. This short form works with the acupuncture points, meridians and internal organs. It is based on the Daoist principle of the Five Elements and uses repetitions of nine times for rubbing and slapping. The number nine is three times three and so means "forever" or "infinite" benefit. The form is simple to learn and does not take long to do or require a lot of space. Daily practice will help heal illness and maintain and develop a healthy body.
This first seminar of the program will run over three evening sessions, each from 6.30pm to 9pm. If you cannot make it all, you can attend the first session, or the first two, but don't miss the first session or you will not be able to attend the next ones!
The last classes for 2017 are on Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th of December.
Classes will resume on Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th January 2018 and we wish you all a very happy festive season and hope to see you again, well-rested, in 2018.
We will also hold more seminars during the year on Damo Staff and on Healthy Slapping Gong.
Practice more and stay well.
We will hold a seminar on Sunday 5th November to teach Damo Staff.
This is one of the Chun Yuen weapon forms, using a long staff. It's wonderful for coordination, posture and fitness; even if you only learn the warm-ups, these are really good for coordination and for the hands, fingers and wrists.
The seminar will be at the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds, in the Community Hall, from 1pm - 5pm, with the usual dinner at Sunnybank afterwards.
All are welcome, from complete beginners to those who would like to review their form, or complete it.
We will be at the Toowoomba Languages and Cultures Festival on Sunday 20th Aug in the Health Expo tent, where we will be talking to people about the benefits of Qigong.
Come and see us and enjoy some of the lovely and diverse food on offer at Queen's Park.
